Business Archives & Resilience – ICA SBA 2024 International Conference in Warsaw

On September 23–24, 2024, Kozminski University hosted the international conference Business Archives & Resilience, co-organized with the Section on Business Archives of the International Council on Archives (ICA SBA) and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). The event brought together archivists, historians, managers, and communication professionals from around the world to explore how business archives contribute to building organizational resilience.

Through five thematic sessions, speakers showcased how corporate heritage can support risk management, strengthen brand identity, and enhance stakeholder communication. Presenters included representatives from Levi Strauss & Co., A.P. Moller Group, Absolut, Ferretti Group, BGK, and E. Wedel. The second day was dedicated to hands-on workshops on history marketing and the responsible use of archives.

The conference highlighted that archives are not just about the past – they are strategic resources that can help organizations navigate the uncertainties of the present and future.
